Tasting Notes:

A beautifully smooth full-bodied sherry aged whisky with hints of dried fruits - raisins and sultanas, hazelnuts and almonds and treacle.  A long, lingering finish.

Our 2026 Ex-Oloroso 53.3% ABV Single Cask English Whisky Single Malt is now available to Pre-order.  There are only 380 bottles available.

This is a sherry bomb single cask made with Laureate barley, casked in October 2020 and bottled in March 2026.  A beautifully smooth full-bodied sherry aged whisky with hints of dried fruits - raisins and sultanas, hazelnuts and almonds and treacle.  A long, lingering finish.

There are two options for this product -

A single bottle in a branded box which is £80

or

A large presentation box the same as the First Release Whisky which has the bottle of 2025 Ex-Pedro Ximenez Whisky, 2 x Glencairn glasses and has been signed by our distillers which is £115 (a real collectors piece).

Served neat:
Aroma - Dates, liquorice, almonds, creme brulee, fudge, pink peppercorn, tarte tatin pastry, treacle.
Texture - Warm, glowing, thick (glyceric)
Taste - salted caramel, cinder toffee, "Caramac", clove, medicinal spice, dried herbs.

Served with a dash of water:
Aroma - Heather, dried herbs, salted popcorn, burnt toffee popcorn, butterscotch, "toffee pennies" 
Taste - Sweeter notes rise to the fore - sugar puffs, caramel, dusted almonds with delicate herbal traces in the background.

Conclusion:
A multifaceted and highly complex whisky that changes dramatically when cut. Like having several bottles rolled into one. You could easily spend a joyful evening working out exactly how to cut it to your personal taste!
Whisky enthusiasts will not be disappointed, even though it's youthful, it displays such an array of distinct flavour notes that you are left without any doubt that it is a finely crafted spirit.
Also, when cut with a little water, the appeal is very broad and gift friendly as its plethora of sweeter notes give it a very broad appeal.
